We also took part in the borough Boccia competition.
During the year the school participated in Panathlon, country dancing at Forty Hall, Cricket Week, sports day and Interschool Kurling.
We have had the benefit of weekly coaching from Middlesex Cricket Club. And have accessed outdoor sports such as horse riding and sailing.
We have weekly swimming or hydro lessons and a range of swimming certificates that our pupils can earn.
18 members of staff have been trained as MOVE practitioners, this enables them to assist in assessing and creating programs for students across the school.
We have a MOVE approved lead teacher who supports classes across the school.
We have achieved Active Schools award Gold for 3 years in a row.
As our students require a differentiated approach to learning we endeavor assist them in breaking down barriers to their learning. The pupil premium enables us to meet individuals specific needs in a variety of ways.
2016/2017 – 8 Early years Premium Pupils
2016/2017 – 43 Pupil Premium Pupils

The literacy and numeracy catch-up premium gives schools additional funding to support year 7 pupils who did not achieve at least level 4 in reading and/or maths at the end of key stage 2 (KS2). All state-funded schools with year 7 pupils receive this funding.
In the context of Waverley school, all year 7 students attending will not have achieved level 4 in reading as all our students work below national expectations (P levels). The premium will therefore be used to ensure all year 7 pupils have additional support towards establishing and/or embedding communication systems.
