What is Positive Behaviour Support Coffee Morning?
A Workshop where parents and carers can discuss in a
friendly setting the issues they face at home around behaviour that may challenge
Who is it for?
This coffee morning is open to parents and carers of children and young people with SEND, attending special or mainstream schools and who display behaviours that challenge.
To enable parents and carers to share concerns, learn new skills and develop an emerging understanding of how to support young people with behaviours that challenge.
Understanding the form and function of behaviour that challenges
Discussing and sharing successful strategies.
Tips on implementing successful strategies.
Learning new ideas and sharing good practice.

A chance to meet other parents of children/young people with SEND to discuss and chat about ways to help your children be independent in their personal care.
Coffee morning aims:
To give you practical strategies to help your child be independent when they go to the toilet.
To give ideas to implement a successful toileting programme with your child at home.
Effective ways to work with your child’s school/educational establishment to help your child be independent at using the toilet at home and school.
To chat about good communication strategies that you can use to help your child and to be safe when going to the toilet at home and in public toilets.
