What is iPad for pupils with SEND?

Many schools have developed their use of Ipads within the classroom to support pupils learning.

Explore how iPads can work alongside class teaching in all areas of the curriculum.

How iPads can be used to motivate SEN pupils and develop attention skills which will support them in their lives at home and school.

Who is it for?

The course is aimed at individuals who wish to acquire knowledge of how the iPad can be used to support learning and be a valuable tool to develop and encourage independence and learning through a motivating and fun resource.

If you have basic or limited knowledge we can work together to understand how the Ipad works and how we can use it to support and encourage learning.

Course Aims:

To develop knowledge of using iPads to individualised learning.

To show how iPads can work alongside class teaching on all areas of the curriculum.

To show how iPads can be used to motivate SEN pupils and develop attention skills.

To highlight how IEP targets can be met using appropriate Apps and functions available on the Ipad.

To look at E Safety and how we can make our iPads safe

Course summary:

A practical course about how to use and access iPad Apps to develop teaching and learning of SEN pupils across the curriculum.

A time to discuss the Pros and Con of using the Ipad so that it supports learning and works alongside teaching.

£50 – ½ day training
