The Springboard Curriculum and Assessment Framework

Pupils at both Waverley @ Honilands and Waverley @ Bell Lane follow the Springboard Curriculum. 

This framework for Integrating Therapy and Education was developed by our Deputy Head teacher Charlotte Millward and former teacher Laura Osman. 

The Springboard Curriculum enhances the four themes that underpin the EYFS and adapts them to suit the needs of children with severe, complex and profound educational needs. With teaching that offers opportunities to learn through play; it recognises the unique child, the need for positive relationships and enabling environments to afford effective learning and development.  It brings together the resources and the people to create a learning and development environment that is fun and rewarding for everyone. 

The Springboard Curriculum and Assessment Framework are available for purchase and has been showcased in national and international conferences.
